Daily Subsidies

In your Home Care Package budget, daily subsidies are funds provided by the government to your approved care provider each day. The basic subsidy rate depends on the package level you receive and increases for higher levels.

Supplements

Supplements help to cover the cost of meeting specific care needs. These are included in the subsidy payments (i.e. on top of the above subsidy accrued). There are many subsidies – below are the most commonly seen:

• Dementia and cognition supplement
• Enteral feeding supplement
• Hardship supplement
• Higher accommodation supplement
• Oxygen supplement
• Veterans' supplement
• Viability supplement
